Weekly Astrology Forecast: April 9 to April 15, 2010

zodiac-and-starsAries—New starts are especially difficult to get off the ground as you keep being drawn back to old responsibilities and obligations. There is a burning need to transform your attitudes in these areas as you are missing new opportunities by keeping your head in the sand.

Taurus—You want to be more than friends, but there seems to more than one obstacle in your way. It’s easy to keep doing what you’ve done before but to make some progress you are going to have to buck up and bite the bullet no matter how uncomfortable that is.

Gemini-Energetic, you cut through tasks like a knife through butter. Just make sure they are the right tasks as you might misunderstand some instructions. Before you have to do a do over double check what it is you are suppose to do.

Cancer—You are content to let other’s take the reigns as you are happily spinning some lovely dreams and don’t want to be bothered with mundane details. Surprise, you are right in the thick of things, so you better keep your eye to the keyhole if you don’t want to be taken off guard.

Leo—Others seem to bent on derailing your plans, even if they do it with a smile. You would do best play a supportive role in the next big thing coming along, keeping your finger in the pie, rather than try to run the show. You’ll find out why later.

Virgo—Other people seem to have an overblown sense of what you can accomplish. As flattering as this is, you really must learn to set some limits. Whether it is the boss that wants that report “right now” or the child that wants 40 cupcakes baked and decorated for the morning you must use your negotiating skills to keep the stress to a minimum.

Libra—You may feel the call of destiny this week as the stars align to point the finger of God right at you. Since these planets are Venus and Jupiter you are likely to lose your head or your heart if you rush in before taking a survey of the territory ahead.

Scorpio—You are feeling pressure to get everything “just right” and to “get it all done”. If I tell you not to sweat the small stuff, you wouldn’t listen anyway, so prioritize a “to do” list from essential to non-essential tasks and work your way down.

Sagittarius—As long as you keep ignoring the nonsense going around you, you should do just fine this week Archer. You are a whiz at blowing off other people’s problems no matter how much they try to stick them on to you.

Capricorn—You can earn some extra money just as long as you don’t listen to the “advice” of financial counselors who only are out for a fast buck. Keep to your usual steady course in matters of the heart as well.

Aquarius—People think you are Superman or Wonder Woman, able to pull a miracle out of the back end of your cape. Since you aren’t feeling all these superpowers yourself, you are feeling mighty stressed out. Feel free to meditate or just close the door to get some time to de-stress.

Pisces—This weekend it is not just April showers that gets dumped on you. As much as you want to hide your head in the sand, it is just better to face the music and get down to business. Keep at it and in a week or so, things will look better for you.

Astrological Society of Connecticut April Lectures: Priscilla Costello

asc-logo
Lecture: Thursday, April 15
7 PM
Keeney Center
200 Main Street
Wethersfield

Priscilla Costello
The ‘60s Are Coming
Liberation movements, protests, dramatic social and cultural changes–if you remember the 1960’s, it was a dynamic decade whose influence is still felt and whose energy is reappearing with the Saturn-Uranus opposition and the forming Uranus-Pluto square. What were the seminal events and major themes of that decade? With some reference to Richard Tarnas’ brilliant research in Cosmos and Psyche, what might we expect to reappear now and in the future? As well, we will look at where the previous Saturn/Uranus/Pluto energy fell in your chart and what you might anticipate in the coming years.

Workshop: Saturday, April 17
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Priscilla Costello
Aspect Patterns: Geometry of the Soul
As planets glide around the Sun, they move periodically into certain pre-defined geometric relationships to one another. When linked together, the major aspects (conjunction, square, opposition, trine, and sextile) reveal your inner psyche, along with your life challenges and life purpose, as well as potential outer circumstances and events. Multiple aspects can create certain recognized configurations composed of these Ptolemaic aspects. We will cover the major patterns of stellium, grand trine, kite, T-square, and grand square, as well as hint at other possible connections between planetary energies.

Astrology and Mythology: Venus in Her Past Lives

venus-2Venus made her way into Taurus at the beginning of this month, a good placement for her. Venus likes the Taurean emphasis on sensual delights. Venus is an ancient goddess, her provenance going back to the beginnings of civilization. The first planet we see in the evening and and the morning, despite her playgirl image, Venus is an important player in the pantheon of ancient dieties.

The word “planet” means traveler, and the gods and goddesses traversed the ancient world. The first identity thieves, the ancient deities would merge their identity with a similar local gods and goddess, and take on their names and attributes. In Sumer she was Inanna before she became Ishtar in Babylonia, where she ruled sex, fertility, love and war. The sacred whore, this powerful goddess had more than her share of Plutonian themes in her love relationships. Her greatest threat against the other gods and goddesses when she was angered was that she would break the gates of heaven and earth and unleash the dead upon the living. She probably had to move on for her own good. She next materialized as the goddess Astarte, retaining her associations with sex, love and war. It was as Astarte that she became associated with the bull, donning the head of a bull to demonstrate her authority. In Egypt, she is Isis, probably the most powerful of all the Egyptian deities, having acquired the power to resurrect the dead. Revered as the sacred mother, she was a powerful magician. Her greatest claim to fame was reanimating her murdered husband, the god Osiris, long enough to impregnate herself with their only child. Egypt was a difficult and tragic life, so again, on the road she went, resuming her identity as Astarte, and eventually morphing in the identity of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and sensual delights. She shed her responsibilites as a war goddess, handing them over very nicely to the Goddess of Discord, Eris, and went on to live the high life partying and seducing as many lovers as she could. She could be very manipulative when she so chose. It was her offer to playboy Paris to give him the most beautiful woman in the world that started the Trojan war. Aphrodite later took the name of Venus as her Roman name where she continued her role as the goddess of sex.

Though Venus seems to have softened her party line from her many incarnations, it is important not to underestimate her power. It is under her spell that we make many critical decisions, who we love and how we love them. Venus in your chart shows what you are willing to do to get what you want. We must not forgot that though themes of power and control are played out through Pluto, Venus has a long history of maniputative plots of her own. It is interesting that Venus in the sky now is making a hypnotic trine with Pluto and is challenging Mars. We can expect the themes of power, control and sex to continue make headlines during Venus’s sojourn in Taurus. Two years ago, when Venus strolled into Taurus, the D. C. Madam, Deborah Jean Palfry was found dead at her mother’s home. Now we are regaled with the stories of Sandra Bullock’s soon-be-ex, Jesse James’ “sex addiction”.

Note: This is repost of my May 2, 2008 piece on the old AE site, brushed up, of course, to add current events.

The Astrology of Earthquakes: The 7.1 Quake of Southern California

Astro World MapOn Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 3:40 PDT an earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale tore through Southern California, with the shocks being felt through California, Nevada and Arizona.

Preliminary USGS information indicated the epicenter was 19 miles southeast of Mexicali, in an area that has been hit with magnitude 3.0 quakes all week. Earlier this weekend, a series of small-to-moderate quakes hit the geothermally-active area.

The prediction of earthquakes has been a spotty business at best, with mixed results. However, some astrologers persist in the study of earthquakes and some even get it right. Richard Nolle in his March 31, 2010 prediction for April says:

These are the very kind of solar, lunar and terrestrial configurations that signal an increase in newsworthy storms with high winds and heavy precipitation (and subsequent flooding); as well as an up-tick in notable seismic activity, including magnitude 5+ earthquakes and volcanic eruptions . . . Still, as I mentioned in last month’s forecast, astro-locality mapping the March 30 full moon, the anchor for this period, shows some special risk zones, including a longitudinal vulnerability running from Adelaide-Melbourne up through Tokyo in the east, across the pole and down across central Greenland and eastern Brazil. I’d also keep an eye on the Sun-Moon horizon arc running through the Middle East (touching Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Turkey), across western Russia and the north of Greenland, and down through Canada, the Pacific Northwest and California – including Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

How Is It Done?

Astrologers specializing in weather forecasting use various tools, one of them being the astromapping the planets against the surface of the earth. Pioneered by the late Jim Lewis, Astro*Carto*Graphy as he named it, maps the longitudinal position of each planet, the hypothesis being that the influence of each planet is especially strong along the longitude where it sits.

In addition, astrologers study weather events to find common threads that reveal an astrological pattern. Robert Currey says:

On my small sample, a high frequency of aspects between Saturn and Uranus, Uranus in Capricorn or Saturn in Aquarius – which any astrologer will know are all similar energies – appear in the charts for these quakes. This is more of an intuitive leap and serious research is needed to draw any conclusions

Astrologer Ed Tamplin postulates that along with a correlation with the new and full moons, earthquakes tend to happen when most of the planets are within one half of the zodiac with Uranus in challenge aspect to Saturn, Mars and or Pluto being significant.

Indicators of the Southern Califiornia Earth

Easter Sunday’s seismic event featured the opposition of Uranus and Saturn, both making a challenge aspect to the Moon in Sagiittarius which is a few degrees away from Pluto thus drawing Pluto into the mix. The result is a T-Square in (mostly) Cardinal signs, under pressure and demanding action to relieve it.

The trigger for the event was of the moon moving into orb with Pluto.

Mars was activated from an inconjunct to Pluto. As Ed Tamplin suggests, most of the planets were sitting in one half of the chart, in the western part of the chart though the moon is in the gibbous moon phase.

Curiously, in an astrocartography chart of the event, the planet of deep wounds Chiron is in Aquarius, ruled by shocking Uranus, and sits at the descendant making a stress aspect (the inconjunct) to Saturn, one point of the T-Square. Chiron’s astrocartography line slices right through the Pacific Northwest down through Los Angeles, 187 miles west of Mexicali., three degrees of longitude apart from each other.

Since the Moon has moved into a tighter orb with Pluto, today, April 5, 2010, may be a day to watch for further seismic activity.

Resurrection Stories of the Astrological Great Ages: Inanna

6,000 years before we memorialized our Easter celebration, the Sumerian culture had its own resurrection story. Containing the elements of death, redemption and resurrection it is the story of the Age of Gemini, whose essential nature is dualism.

Inanna was the Queen of Heaven of Sumerian culture associated with Venus, the morning and evening star, goddess of the fertility of the fields. The resurrection story, like the story of Persephone, ties the seasons into the actions of the gods.

The Sumerian year had 12-lunar-months, based upon phases of the moon and just two seasons.  Summer began on the vernal spring equinox, lasting 6-months through until the autumnal equinox.  Winter was the harvest season and outlined by monthly written characters for hand, seed, grain and cutting.

Her story is a journey of development and evolution. Continue reading

Weekly Astrology Forecast: Under The Influence

under-the-influenceAstrology for the Week of April 2 thought April 8

“Should of , would of, could of” is the theme this week as Friday’s chart features a grand assortment of the stress aspect, the inconjunct, thrown like so many pick up sticks on Friday’s chart.

Inconjuncts indicate uncharted territory for your soul. You don’t have map, heck, you don’t even have a flashlight, let alone a clue as where you are going. The tools for dealing with an inconjunct are faith and hope. And plan. Definitely make a plan.

This week inconjuncts directly touch late degrees of Aries, Taurus, Leo, Libra, Capricorn and Aquarius. Don’t think however, if you aren’t one of these signs you are in the clear. There is more than enough inconjunct action to go around, and they don’t mind sharing the wealth.

Aries—The issue, Aries, is courage. When something is abstract, say, laying down your life for your country, you have no trouble rushing in where angels fear to tread. Finding courage for the concrete is another matter, and here you are locked in between Uranus, to which you cling for freedom, and Venus, the realization of your desires as Saturn, at the apex of a Yod, tells you, it’s time to FOCUS. Will you?

Taurus—Deep desires occupy your thoughts as you muddle through your latest relationship issue. You don’t want to do anything to upset the apple cart, but aren’t those apples a little over ripe right now? Don’t be diverted by glittery things, and you can make it through OK.

Gemini—For this weekend, your sign’s ruler, Mercury is shifting into the sensual sign of Taurus, which is at the apex of a Yod with the Moon, and Saturn in Libra at the base. All I can say is “Oh, you naughty thing, you.” And remind you that despite the intensity of the sensations you feel, they are just that and not the basis of a long lasting relationship.

Cancer—Perhaps your biggest problem right now is that you are feeling disconnected from people, places and things. What is happening is that you are spending too much time reflecting on things in the past that you can’t change now. Reach out to others and show them you care.

Leo—You are meant to lead, but what you don’t like is being forced to do it. With Mars in your sign, you have a need to lead the charge, but you aren’t allowed to take things where you want to go. Your best move is to connect with your higher self to take advantage of the wisdom contained there.

Virgo—With a to do list that is overflowing, you need to pare it down to the essentials. You always want to get everything done, but that is not practical or realistic. Be kind to yourself so you have the energy to be kind to others.

Libra—There is one card interpreted by tarot master Eileen Connolly, the six of swords, reversed, as ‘you are locked into a difficult set of circumstances. There is nothing you can do, just wait.’ That is your life right now. Relationships are a burr under your saddle, but there isn’t much you can do. Meditate.

Scorpio—You are being pushed beyond your limits as the planet of war challenges your Sun. Quiet times and pleasant times with friends seem to be put on hold as you are made to pay strict attention to your work responsibilities. People notice your attention to detail.

Sagittarius—Others annoy you with their plodding ways and thick head attitudes. You are ready to cut through the BS, spoiling for a fight. Unfortunately for you this will not obtain the results you want, but rather mark you as an unreasonable hot head. Use your natural charm instead.

Capricorn—Money and or love interests seem poised for a major transformation, but like a deer in the headlights you freeze not sure of the correct action to take. Oh snap! You are just going to have to talk about this with someone. Can you stand actually revealing your true feelings?

Aquarius—The Waterbearer has no patience for anything that curtails his or her freedom and here you are with a whole bunch of people yapping at you to act this way or that. It is important to put your listening ears on and try to respond in a positive way even as you grit your teeth doing so. That way you won’t come off looking so bad.

Pisces—Your dreams, bizarre as they might be of late, are keys to issues that are troubling you. Your intuition is heightened, though you are not necessarily quite on target with your perceptions. Pisces is used to ambiguity, but this is ridiculous. Find some sort of native guide to help you make sense of it all.

Weekly Astrology Forecast: Dreams of Dragons

dragon2-smallAstrology for the Week of March 26 to April 1

Having spent a heady weekend listening to lectures of Pluto in Capricorn, dragons and the Book of Revelations, courtesy of the Astrological Society of Connecticut, what should greet me as I look at this week’s stars but the aspect structure of the dragon itself.

Sliding like a great snake through the round of the great wheel of the zodiac, it starts at Pluto making a challenge aspect the Moon/Saturn conjunction on the 29th, which stresses the Mercury/Venus conjunction, wrapping itself around a Yod, the finger of God, that talks about the fated nature of our relationships.

Destiny plays a hand in our relationships it seems, and the deepest part of our natures will be touched, like a note plucked on a stringed instrument.

Where Libra is in your chart, especially at zero degrees, is the area that will be kicked up for your examination. What you give, what you do not give, what you desire will all be called into question. Libra, a cardinal sign, in this early degree will rush in where angels fear to tread.

If you want to find where Libra is in your chart, go to this website—http://astro-software.com/cgi-bin/astro/natal—which after a couple simple questions will spit out the positions of your planets and your houses in simple English. What you will be looking for is the house where the zodiac sign of Libra sits.

If you have Libra in the first house, you’ll be thinking that your physical attractiveness plays a role in your connections to others. The tendency here is to overemphasize what is essentially a small part in attraction and desire. If it were true that only beauty made us worthy for love, most of us wouldn’t marry! Keep that in mind.

Libra in the Second—Is it love, or love of money? You tend to get romantic when dollar signs, not cupid arrows are flying, so you just might be faced with the choice of the right one without a sous, and the wrong one with all the right stuff financially. Interesting choices.

Libra in the Third—The one that won’t get past you is the one who knows all the pretty words to make you swoon. Do you fall for them, hook, line and sinker, or do you grab the closest lifesaver? Sink or swim.

Libra in the Fourth—You greatest desire is harmony in the home, but lately to achieve this you have been, shall we say, glossing over some uncomfortable truths. The result is that you are holding in you fears and resentments, not the best thing for your sensitive stomach. If you are having problems with your insides, it is time to look at what is really bothering you.

Libra in the Fifth—With the Yod activating this area that relates to love affairs and creative ventures, you are feeling locked in and strangely locked out of both of these areas of your life. You can’t stop thinking about that special someone, but at the same time, you aren’t sure that person is thinking about you. Do be sure that he or she is, but whether or not something will happen is anybody’s guess.

Libra in the Sixth—You are sure there is something wrong with you. The doctor finds nothing. While it is not all in your head, as the kindly doc suggests, maybe it is something in your soul. Time for a second opinion, so whatever works for you in the spirituality department is where you should head for your answers.

Libra is the Seventh—Before you blow up your relationship, it is time to write the good things on one side of the list and the bad things on the other. If the good outweighs the bad, see a therapist. If the bad out weighs the good, see a lawyer. In any case, this is not a DIY project.

Libra in the Eighth—I don’t know whether to envy or pity you. On one hand you might get to experience carnal pleasures the like of which you’ve never had before, on the other, the fallout of such an experience just might blow you away. If you aren’t sure, concentrate that tax return. That will dampen all desire.

Libra in the Ninth—Higher education and travel are transformative experiences, though neither one is likely to go without a hitch. Make sure you have plenty of your own resources rather than relying on someone else to get you through a bumpy ride.

Libra in the Tenth—The attraction of new business partner is upmost on your mind. No one is better than you at networking, and if you are wary of the fine print, you just might find someone who can help you advance your work goals.

Libra in the Eleventh—The people you hang with expect far too much of you right now. They want you to “make things work” while doing very little of the work themselves. Use your natural charm to get them on board with current projects.

Libra in the Twelfth—You may be thrashing about some difficult issues relating to the care of a loved one. While the other people around you have good intentions, they want to move more quickly than for which the situation calls. Call the shots and take your time.

Don Cerow–Decoding the Book of Revelation

Armaggedon

Have you ever read the last book of the Bible? No, seriously, ever try to get through the horrific images of death, pestilence and divine retribution? The prophecy of Armageddon? The trials of the “End Times” ?

People have been predicting the end of the world, well since, the beginning of the world. So far it hasn’t happened and according to Don Cerow, despite the doom sayers, the Book of Revelation doesn’t predict it either. Rather, the the twenty two chapters of Revelation and its colorful language depict a timeline of events that brings us through the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius.

An academician by training, Don takes a painstaking path laying out the astronomy and the astrology of his hypothesis. Written in a time before the schism of astronomy and astrology, the Book of Revelation is laden with astrological references that would make sense to a first century Mediterranean world dominated by Greek culture.

Following the Vernal Equinox as it precesses (moves backward) through the zodiac Don outlines significant events of the Age of Pisces and relates them to the fixed stars in the zodiac sign of as the Vernal Equinox matches (parallels) their positions.

In Don’s own words:

Revelation unlocks the vault of heaven and the treasures that lie hidden within.

In Revelation there are eight seals that are opened by the “Lamb of God” the only spiritual being able to do so. Don points out that as the book was written in 1st Century AD three of the fixed stars had already been hit by the Vernal Equinoxes, making these seals not so much prophecies but as markers of events as if to say “this is what happened before, now watch as we talk about what will happen”.

The fourth seal is an actual prophecy that marks the passage of the Vernal Equinox through Mu Piscium at about 246 AD.

This prophecy says:

“When he broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth animal shout, ‘Come.’ Immediately another horse appeared, deathly pale, and its rider was called Plague, and Hades followed at his heels. They were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kill by the sword, by famine, by plague and wild beasts.” -Revelation 6: 7-8

This period was a time of extreme governmental insecurity marked by continuous civil wars and foreign invasions. At the same time plague ravaged the Roman population reportedly felling 5,000 Roman citizens a day at its height.

Revelation says this about the fifth seal:

“When he broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of all the people who had been killed on account of the word of God, for witnessing to it. They shouted aloud, ‘Holy, faithful Master, how much longer will you wait before you pass sentence and take vengeance for our death on the inhabitants of the earth?’ Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to be patient a little longer, until the roll was complete and their fellow servants and brothers had been killed just as they had been.” -Revelation 6: 9-11

The souls in this seal were told to be patient, held in abeyance, “until the roll was complete”, that is until the end of the Age of Pisces. This was the time where they were to “let those that do good, will do good, and those that do evil will do evil.” In other words, God was just going to let things roll as humans played out their personal passion plays.

The time that this Vernal Equinox parallels Zeta Piscium in 572 AD. The Lombards, the most barbaric of the barbarians, invaded Rome and “broke the back of Roman civilization”. Civilization disintegrated and the Romans were at the mercy of societal forces beyond their control.

As the opening of each of the seals indicates, the release of the troubles contained therein brought in its wake sorrow and suffering. For those who were killed for witnessing to the word of God, their soul’s purification was the result. Meanwhile, time and the rest of the world waited for final judgment.

The sixth seal, the parallel between the Vernal Equinox and Epsilon Piscium, in 778 AD correlates with the thirty year war Charlemagne waged against the pagan people of the North. In a bold stroke Charlemagne beheaded “5,000 princes of Gaelic peoples” which won him his battle but lost his war. In retribution the Vikings, whose royalty was intermarried with the Gaels, attacked the sad remnants of once great Rome, carrying away plunder, and eventually setting up settlements to support raiding forays into the heartland of Rome herself.

The seventh seal is not so much a prophecy, but an announcement proclaiming that when when the seventh seal was opened “there was silence in heaven for about a half an hour.” This cryptic reference is a actually a metaphor for the 1,000 years the Vernal Equinox will take to reach the last and final point, the parallel with Omega Piscium, which Don calculates is about February 12, 2013, the end of the Age of Pisces and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius.

As to what happens in the next three years is anyone’s guess, and as prognosticators some of us will take a stab at it. What is important to remember that the despite the trials of humanity have suffered through the ages as a species we have adapted, evolved and endured. The “end times” is the end of an age, not the end of humanity. The Book of Revelation promises “The New Jerusalem” of which Carly Simon signs so eloquently. So before you cancel your life insurance, or run up those credit card bills, prepare for the coming of a new age, rather than lament the old.

Weekly Astrology Forecast: Saturn in Libra-The New Relationship of Equals

yinyangAstrology for the Week of March 19 through March 25

When you have two heavy hitting planets squaring off one another, you know that things are due for a major shake-up. Pluto the planet of transformation is in challenge aspect to the planet of structure, Saturn, so we are threatened with having the rug pulled from out under our feet.

This Saturn is in the relationship and partnership oriented sign of Libra. The last time Saturn was in Libra was the early 80’s, a time social upheaval as more and more women entered the workplace and we struggled as a society with the consequences of that shift. For those of us that remember, it was a time when a woman’s place was seriously questioned, when many of us opted for career first, marriage second, and many people wondered if we were all going to Hell in a hand basket because the women were acting so crazy. What we were seeking was what Saturn in Libra seeks, partnerships based on equality rather than a division of labor and we saw our work as a way of evening the score.

Fast-forward to the first part of this millennium and women’s careers are just as important as the male side of the human family. In fact, women are making significant gains in certain industries while men with still significant higher salaries than women are taking the brunt of the recent economic collapse. More men are out of work than women and out for longer stretches of time. This tipping of the scales fleshes out a relatively new cultural dynamic, that of the woman as primary wage earner. As we struggle with a flattened dollar and a shrinking economy men as forced to reexamine and redefine their roles within relationships. Unfortunately, the initial reports of this phenomenon are not good. Men just aren’t adjusting. The hardy few that segue into a more family oriented role are just that, a cultural minority that are often treated as outsiders by their peers and by women as well. As for the others, family tensions erode tenuous marital relationships. It is no secret that a bad economy spikes increases in substance abuse and family violence, so much so that the Senator from Utah called for “putting men to work” as a way of easing domestic violence.

Pluto shakes up the status quo; it transforms what is to the things that are to come. Though Pluto is in the zodiac sign of tradition, Capricorn, it is when Pluto is Capricorn that traditional structures are shaken loose, and new structures are created. Knowing that Pluto is challenging Saturn, we can see that old structures, old regimes, old ways of thinking about relationships, measuring value and worth are being transformed. It may very well be that with traditionally male industries being downsized, that men, at least the ones living today, will never recover the wage earning ability that measured their place in society and their attractiveness as mates. They are going to need new currency if they want a relationship. And that currency may well be the traditional feminine one of being a caretaker in the relationship.

So this Saturn in Libra is the flip side of the one in Eighties. Now we are still seeking a relationship of equals, but the equality is not one of economic power but a balance of caretaking roles within the relationship.

Aries and Libra—You both worry way too much about who is in charge of the relationship. Though you feel the need to take the lead role, the true test is letting your partner have an equal say.

Taurus and Scorpio—Spend some time in serious contemplation of what it is you want to achieve. Nighttime dreams are a key to your desires.

Gemini and Sagittarius—You are both incorrigible flirts and we love you for it. Mars in Leo supports even your most outrageous adventures.

Cancer and Capricorn—Look to past success stories to get a key to your future. What you’ve done before with a slight out of the box twist will work again even if you worry the lightning can’t strike twice.

Leo and Aquarius—With Mars fueling your activities, you are overreaching a bit. Stretching your muscles is not a bad thing, but stretching the truth is. Look at things a little more realistically.

Virgo and Pisces—Be careful in motion and don’t overdo. You are feeling an abundance of energy, but unfortunately, misdirected could make you a bit clumsy. Label yourself, “handle with care”.

Don Cerow Lectures In Connecticut: Stars, Myths and Legends

cerowMyth and legend are not just amusing stories for internationally known astrologer, lecturer and writer Don Cerow: they are a living connection between the peoples of the past and us today. Ancient peoples didn’t view the heavens as a static picture of stars and stellar phenomenon, but a dynamic stage upon which their gods played out elaborate stories of grace, sin and redemption. At one time astrology and astronomy were part of one science, that of divining the messages of the gods. An astrologer since 1972, Don’s principle interest has been in how astrology has evolved from the mythology and astronomy of ancient peoples.

The ancient world has always held an appeal to Don. Graduating with a BA Magna Cum Laude with a major in Classics, and a minor in Astrology in the Ancient World with from the University of Massachusetts, he continued his graduate work at both Boston University and Brandeis. Blending his astrological and historical knowledge he’s created a number of lectures, television and radio shows tracing the rise and fall of civilizations as they are marked by the astrological great ages, from the dawn of civilization during the Age of Gemini up through our present time standing on the doorway of the Age of Aquarius.

From March 18 through March 20, Don brings his considerable knowledge and unique perspective to Connecticut in lectures and a workshop sponsored by the Astrological Society of Conneticut.

At the March 18th lecture held 7:00 PM, at the Keeney Memorial Center in Wethersfield, CT, he presents his lecture “Down the Rabbit Hole” connecting the dots between the powerful lord of the Underworld, Pluto and past and current events.

On Friday, March 19th, he presents a planetarium show, Stars, Myths and Legends, held at the Exley Science Center, 265 Church Street, Middletown, CT, Don wil retell a number of creation myths involving dragons, answering the question of why dragons are part of the myths and legends around the world.

On Saturday, March 20th, he presents a workshop on the Book of Revelations a work of the Bible he believes was left as a time capsule with an encrypted message for our time.
