Myth and legend are not just amusing stories for internationally known astrologer, lecturer and writer Don Cerow: they are a living connection between the peoples of the past and us today. Ancient peoples didn’t view the heavens as a static picture of stars and stellar phenomenon, but a dynamic stage upon which their gods played out elaborate stories of grace, sin and redemption. At one time astrology and astronomy were part of one science, that of divining the messages of the gods. An astrologer since 1972, Don’s principle interest has been in how astrology has evolved from the mythology and astronomy of ancient peoples.
The ancient world has always held an appeal to Don. Graduating with a BA Magna Cum Laude with a major in Classics, and a minor in Astrology in the Ancient World with from the University of Massachusetts, he continued his graduate work at both Boston University and Brandeis. Blending his astrological and historical knowledge he’s created a number of lectures, television and radio shows tracing the rise and fall of civilizations as they are marked by the astrological great ages, from the dawn of civilization during the Age of Gemini up through our present time standing on the doorway of the Age of Aquarius.
From March 18 through March 20, Don brings his considerable knowledge and unique perspective to Connecticut in lectures and a workshop sponsored by the Astrological Society of Conneticut.
