After a hiatus of more than two years, the popular ASC New Age Fairs resume Sunday, July 17, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main St., Wethersfield (our regular location for years).
Some modifications are planned as a result of continuing concerns about COVID and its evolving variants. Masks are encouraged (and required for anyone unvaccinated). To allow us all to be a little more spread out, we will have fewer readers, vendors and wellness practitioners. The kitchen won’t have a full line-up of refreshments, only some beverages. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or snacks, and we plan to have a couple food trucks on site.
Parking behind the building, on Main St., behind the fire station across the street at 171 Main St.,or a few blocks north on Main St. beyond the flag pole, across from Comstock Ferre (great little market and eatery there). Ask the parking gods and you shouldn’t have to walk far!

What You’ll Find at the Fair
Readings continue to be 20 minutes for $25 – cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Types of readings include psychic, medium, angel cards, regular (playing) cards, tarot, intuitive, astrology, Astro Dice and runes. A birth time is helpful for an astrology reading or for our astrology class (see details later in this newsletter).
A variety of vendors sell a wide array of wares, such as stones and crystals, books and CDs, jewelry, gifts and items for health and well-being, including aura photographs. ASC has great bargains at the used books table. Wellness practitioners offer intriguing alternative modalities beyond massage, such as “sound healing” with singing bowls.
And while you’ll here, get an astrology reading.

The Sun – The Heart of a Chart

| What you call your “sign”, astrologers call your “sun-sign,” the part of the zodiac where the Sun was traveling at the time of year of your birthday. Julianne will cover the basic traits of the twelve sun-signs and look at the position in the chart circle according to the time of day you’re born, the Sun’s “house.” (You’ll need your birth time for this.) She’ll also discuss your birthday chart called your “solar return.”
Julianne Johnson, a Leo (the sign “ruled” by the Sun), has been an astrologer for more than two decades. She enjoys sunshine, the beach, teaching astrology and reading charts. She’s been on the ASC board for 30 years and is currently serving as ASC President for an historic third round. Julianne is a reader at our July 17 fair.
The class at 1:00 PM costs only $10 and provides your birth chart and a coupon for $5 off an astrology reading at an ASC New Age Fair (the current one or in the future). Bring your birth time and register at the reading ticket table by 12:45 PM. |
