THE PART OF FORTUNE

Dietrech Pessin

This astro-charm integrates the Ascendant, Sun, and Moon into a singular point. We’ll explore how it describes what motivates you, how you function in relationships and more. The Part of Fortune takes your eye right to the heart of the matter in natal charts, returns and progressions and can make or break an election or horary chart. It would be helpful for you to know your Part of Fortune before the lecture, although a calculation sheet will be supplied to help you calculate it.Dietrech Pessin (Lunar-Shadows.com) is the author of Lunar Shadows III: The Predictive Power of Moon Phases and Eclipses, which details her 1991 discovery of the Lunar Gestation Cycle, a predictive Moon phase technique featured in SolarFire software. In addition to her practice, writing and teaching, since 1995, she’s done a weekly astrology report broadcast on WZBC 90.3 FM in Newton, MA

WORKSHOP

Sunday, May 23, 2021
Noon – 5:00 PM

Frank Clifford

We have a special treat to close out the current season, a wonderful workshop with Frank Clifford. Frank’s a major figure in astrology in England and known around the world for his writing.

The Rhythms of Your Life: Honing Your Forecasting Skills
As astrologers, rather than using forecasting tools to make firm predictions, we do our best work when we articulate the processes that can take place under various transits, progressions or directions. In doing so, students and clients recognize the “season” they’re in and become aware of personal celestial cycles. This talk will offer several tools, including “Define and Connect,” to simplify the process of interpretation.

Solar Arc Directions: An Interactive Session

Frank will demonstrate how Solar Arcs are among the most powerful and reliable of astrological measurements. He’ll show how to pinpoint landmark periods in your life. Then, he’ll work with some horoscopes from the audience to spot, define and articulate a range of Directions that will (hopefully!) amaze everyone with their simplicity and accuracy. If you want to enhance your forecasting skills, this is the talk to come to! Solar Arcs provide information about past and present circumstances, as well as future possibilities. Starting a consultation with Solar Arcs can help to break the ice and gain a client’s trust. Join Frank to learn how to use and decode a remarkable tool that reminds us that every moment is fascinating and full of meaning.

You may be familiar with his name from The Mountain Astrologer, where he’s a contributing editor. He’ll be presenting on two topics in the same workshop, Forecasting Skills and Solar Arc Directions, on the afternoon of Sunday, May 23. This is a great opportunity for people who have difficulty making it to a Saturday workshop. The fee is $40 for members, $50 for non-members. Full details and the registration button are on our Workshops page.
