Weekly Astrology Forecast for Week Ending June 3, 2010

zodiac6Aries—With the planet of individuality marching into your sign, you’ll have a big hankering to do what you want when you want to do it. Problem is other people are not so fond of your freedom loving ways. You may find yourself out in the cold if you don’t keep those home fires burning.

Taurus—You find your voice this week as Mercury pushes past the point of it went retrograde not so long ago. Trouble is you many overwork that voice to prove a point. Walk softly, talk softly if want people not to be overwhelmed. Use your inside voice.

Gemini—The weekend’s full moon has you wondering where all the nonsense is coming from. It’s bad enough that the tension at home is thicker than a Sicilian pizza. This you might be able to deal with. It’s the whining about the little aches and pains that’s getting to you. Set aside some time to pay some loving attention to those closest to you and you just might find that all people need is little love.

Cancer—Why do you feel so pushed against the wall? Because you are, Cancer. No matter how many times you hear you are being told something “for your own good” you know good and well what is best for you. People really are trying to look out for your best interests, though, so at thank people for their concern.

Leo—You may get pushed into the spotlight, but not necessarily for accolades, dear Lion. Work methods are questioned. People feel that you are stealing too much of the show and showing little for it. You don’t quite understand where all this is coming from, but you do need to show some concern for the feedback you receive. Put your listening ears on.

Virgo—Saturn has backpedaled into your sign forcing you to reexamine old issues revolving around duty versus freedom. You may be feeling overwhelmed with the responsibilities dumped on you or you are just plain tired from rehashing what you thought was a done deal. Give yourself plenty of alone time so that minor health problems don’t kick because of the stress.

Libra—The stresses of your current relationship have you thinking fondly of an old love. Maybe you think you should get in touch with this person “to catch up.” Don’t. Old loves are always greener than the pastures you tread now. We tend to remember the good, forget the bad and if you were meant to be with that person you would be. Or don’t you remember that restraining order he or she took out on you?

Scorpio—Watch what you say, be careful in motion and in general lie low and keep your camouflage on. You may not be able to avoid every sling and arrow coming your way, but at least you can minimize the incoming missiles. Scope out the lay of the land before you scoot across the land mines. At least keep your mouth shut. Enough said.

Sagittarius—Do you think you could stay home, at least for once? No, of course not. This weekend has you wanting to go, go, go and you are itching for the wide open roads. So take it slow and keep an eye out for the other guy. You’ll get where you want to go just as fast.

Capricorn—You are feeling a little more alone and isolated than usual Capricorn. Other people seem determine to run your show for you and the people at home want you to cater to their needs instead of them to you. Maybe you should spend some time doing something nice for someone who will appreciate the gesture rather than griping about how other people are just annoying you.

Aquarius—You’d like to make a decision, to have something positive happen. No matter what you do, people shoot you down like a metal duck in a carnival shooting gallery. Feeling exposed and confused, the most you can do is make plans about how you’d like your life to go. Night time dreams provide clues.

Pisces—Your usual flights of fancy have you thinking of a love interest close to home. This might not be such a bad thing, Pisces, as your usual pickings have a more exotic, more unstable and sometimes toxic tinge. Dust off the poetry books and go courting.

Reader’s Question: Stuck!

astrologers-mailbox-copyGreetings. I was born on 9-18-56 at 8:27 a.m. in Bradford, PA (McKean Co.), US. This week’s astrology forecast for Virgos talks about examining motives. I’m on my soul search for next life path. In which direction do I look/head/place my feet? In other words, when will I know the town/job/person is right for me? So far, no options on the horizon. Thanks!

You are feeling “stuck” in place, rather like a fly caught on fly paper, and this is due to influence of Saturn, the taskmaster, the voice of duty and responsibility, hence your feeling of “no options on the horizon”. Transiting Saturn is sitting on your Sun, while your progressed Sun is sitting on your Natal Saturn.

Let’s talk about progressions for a moment, because past the first Saturn Return at age 29, trying to talk about a chart without considering the progressions is rather useless. It’s like trying to print a full color photo when one of the ink colors in your printer cartridge has run out. We all realize that the planets are in motion constantly. While the birth chart is the snapshot in time that captures our essential personality, how the planets moved after that date show how we evolve as individuals. In the most commonly used progressions, called Secondary Progressions, each day after you are born represents a year in your life. As artificial as this seems, the technique works. Carol Rushman, in her book “The Art of Predictive Astrology”, says that progressions are essential in predicting the timing of events.

Key to the timing of events is the position of the progressed Moon, which for you is running through your fifth house of romance and in the sign of freedom loving Aquarius. If you look you will see the progressed Moon is within 4 degrees of transiting Neptune and opposite within 5 degrees of your Natal Pluto. This lends a Scorpionic intensity to your emotional landscape while at the same time blurring the line between fantasy and reality. While I suspect you have always found yourself drawn of obsessive and mostly hopeless love relationships due to your Natal Moon in Pisces opposite by a wide margin your Natal Pluto, you may find yourself drawn once again into this habit pattern. Mainly, the big problem here is that while you have intense feelings for another person, you are feeling alone and misunderstood. The Progressed Moon in Aquarius is begging you to stop defining yourself by your relationships with others and to start defining yourself by your relationship with yourself. If you are wondering why you are feeling stuck, it is because you are wrestling and (I suspect) resisting this issue.

There are a few things to do here. First, I recommend strongly that you seek out the help of a good counselor, someone who you feel comfortable in confiding your deepest thoughts. If you are in therapy now, the recommendation is that you switch therapists.

Second you should start writing, a journal or a blog would be good. You need to help yourself understand the intensity of your emotions and putting the thoughts into a concrete form will help you do that.

Third look into vocational training (or a few classes) to punch up your job skills. As stuck as feel now, there are big changes due in your life and you need to be prepared for them when they come.

As I’ve said before, a full reading is beyond the scope of this column and there is more I would say in a counseling session, but hopefully this will get you started in on the right track in sorting out key issues in your life.

Good luck,

Astrology Forecast Week of May 21 to May 27, 2010–Over The Edge

over-the-edgeVenus continues her whirlwind tour through the zodiac entering the sign of Cancer on May 21, making a tension aspect to potent Pluto. It will be our emotional responses that are kicked up as Moon ruled Cancer talks about our emotions and Venus talks about our desires. Water sign Cancer is an action oriented Cardinal sign, primarily moved into protecting its soft underbelly, so no matter how obsessively Pluto engages the our love nature we are not prone to express those emotions. It is a kind of Catch 22 that while Pluto magnifies the intensity of our feelings we don’t feel free to express them, boxing them so that they become our singular focus.

We feel this most keenly two days later on the twenty-third when the Moon enters the relationship oriented zodiac sign of Libra. Partnerships are stressed when there is no good outlet for intense emotions. At the last part of the week we best be careful we don’t explode with all that is brewing inside us. This week we all have the potential to go over the edge.

Aries—Much of your life seems shaky and uncertain as you sense big changes are afoot. You are right. Soon the opportunity will present itself to shake you loose from your persistent brain confusion. What you do with your newfound sense of clarity will be up to you.

Taurus—The weekend is not a good time to discuss emotional issues even with your therapist. The best course of action is to get in touch with your deeper and yes, darker side to examine some issue from the past that haunts you. Eventually you will understand why this issue has you ducking some important relationship issues.

Gemini—What was that thump you heard? Was it your social life as it hit the floor? Friends seem curiously absent, the phone mysteriously silent. Don’t worry, don’t panic and here is a lovely white towel for you to hold. This is just the Universe’s way of giving you the break you desperately need so you can recoup your energy.

Cancer—No one does pouty and crabby like you, Moonchild. And in “pensive” you are second only to Scorpio. This week you’ll have marvelous opportunities to display this wide range of emotional responsiveness. Not that we want to see it, but you’ll show us anyway.

Leo—You are swept with an overwhelming desire to be released from the people, places and things that you perceive are holding you back. Check those fantastic ideas at the door as not only are they impractical, they are also a backwards look at the things that have helped you rather than hurt you. Delay major changes until you have a better sense of what it will cost you.

Virgo—This week lends you some deep insight into the psychological motivations of other people and why they do the things they do. Now if you could only understand your own actions–well, you’d have something there. Work on it.

Libra—Balancing the emotional needs of you and your partner is quite a feat as your partner demands more control of how things roll. Sharpen your negotiating skills and don’t give away the store. A short-term peace that forces you to bear the weight of the relationship is not for you in the long run.

Scorpio—A shiny Aquarian and a lovely Cancer crosses your path giving you two different views of your ideal love. Don’t dither on the way to romance Scorpio, because if you stop too long to think, both of these love interests find other ways to occupy themselves.

Sagittarius—Over idealizing your current love could have far reaching consequences. None of us are perfect, Sag, and if you expect this person to fulfill your every wish, you will be disappointed. Practice birth control if you don’t want a baby.

Capricorn—Shared resources takes a beating as either you or your partner overspends the budget. You overreact by pirating the family checkbook and holding it hostage against other further financial incursions. This strategy backfires as the pouting ensues. Someday, you must really learn to share.

Aquarius—No one understands you, Waterbearer and they ascribe all sorts of evil to you, most of which you are innocent. Even smiling at your associates have them wondering what you are up to. Rather than try to explain, bend like a reed in the wind and just do the things you usually do. Be careful in motion.

Pisces—As much as you try to attend to the needs of others, there are just times when you want to be alone. This is one of those times, but I don’t think that is happening. You’ll experience a tendency to fall apart at the oddest times, which will catch everyone including yourself off guard. If you don’t want to develop a reputation as a drama queen try to keep these moments to yourself.

Relationship Astrology: Mars and the Big Break Up

1131 Pictures, Images and Photos

To: Transiting Mars. Address: in Leo:

Dude, its been, well, nice, but I’m afraid its time for you to move off that opposition to my Sun. Its not you, its me, I swear. I’m just not ready to be in a relationship that it is, well, so oppositional. I’m sure you understand. No, we can not be “just friends”

No, this isn’t about Uranus in my fourth house. You passed him as you came in. He’s always been there and he’s in a relationship with my Chiron. He’s like my brother, no, more like my psychiatrist, yes, that’s it.

Please no Uranus, my anus, jokes. Don’t you have more class than that? Now I’m like my Venus in Capricorn? Don’t drag her into this. She’s inconjunct to you I know, but she makes sense to me. And she told me you were trouble. Now I see it.

While we’re at it my friends don’t like you much either. One of them wanted me to get you to fix all the things you messed up. Apparently you’ve been doing a number on her as well with a crunched fender, a court judgment, and screwed up travel plans. I can’t take you anywhere, can I?

Look you are a TRANSIT after all. This was never meant to be permanent. Don’t you threaten to hook up with my Pluto in Leo! You won’t be there that long. You’re changing signs shortly and you’ll go into Virgo. Yes, Virgo. Have fun with that!

Oh, you’ll go through my fifth house now, will you? You just do that. Saturn is there too, sitting on my Jupiter so both you will have lots of fun messing up my love life.

Gawd, I’ll never get rid of you, will I? That’s what I get while trying to break up while Mercury is Retrograde.

May Monthly Horoscope: Recipe for Rash Actions

sunplanetsm1Take one Venus in Gemini, one Mercury in Taurus and one Mars in Leo. Set aside Mercury in Taurus to stew in its own juices. Mix Venus in Gemini and Mars in Leo. Do not overmix as these two can whip each other in a frenzy all on their own. Watch Mercury in Taurus carefully as if it mixes with Mars in Leo there is apt to be an explosion. All in all this month’s recipe has the potential for rash actions.

buttonariesYou have plenty of energy to burn which is good, and plenty of opportunities for love and money. Which to choose, which to choose? Not necessary, Aries. This month you can burn the candle at both ends, which is how you like it anyway. Don’t overlook, however and opportunity to put something solid in your life, which you may ignore for more transient pleasures. Lucky you!
taurus-buttomIn the middle of the month Mercury crosses over into your sign giving you plenty to think about. Jupiter and Uranus in the friendly sign of Pisces have been making you feel restless of late, though you didn’t have a clue as to what to do. Now that Mercury comes along and makes a powerful connection with the Lord of the Underworld, Pluto, you are getting in touch with your secret urges. Where that will lead you is up to you, but don’t do anything rash until you consult your local astrologer or other native guide.
gemini-buttonThis month is keyed into your social energy Gemini, that you feel like the Sun is shining on you the whole time. Don’t let your energies get so scattered that you miss out on a very good opportunity to advance your career. Now is the time to dream your dreams and make them come true!
cancer-button1The beginning of the month has you feeling a little isolated and you feel that no one understands you. The intensity of your emotions right now is frightening even to you, Crab, enough to make you wonder if you are going over the edge. While the recent changes in your life are enough to make anyone doubt their sanity, there is a lifeline ahead in the form of a good friend who has a way a putting things in perspective for you.
buttonleoIf I could slip a sound file in here it would be a game show buzzer that goes off at every wrong answer. For you this month, this buzzer would go off at least every five minutes. People are looking for practical solutions, not pie in the sky answers. Oh you can dance and dazzle with the best of them Leo, but charm will only get you so far. People can detect the whiff of future fertilizer from just a few meters away. It’s your destiny to lead in a noble manner, so do so!
buttonvirgo1Though you aren’t seeing it, this month you possess some powerful tools to transform your world. Mentally, you are able to sort through an overwhelming amount of detail and put each one in their proper places. Thus organized, you can plough though your workload with stunning efficiency. And you do so, with time for a little sweet talk and loving on the side. Oh, you sweetheart, you!
buttonlibraIssues from the past bubble up and cloud your normally cheery disposition. Memories cloud your perceptions as minor love and money troubles remind you of unpleasant episodes in your life. Please do your best to put these ideas to bed. There is nothing you can do about the past and your future looks good to me. It’s a good time for you to buy real estate.
buttonscorpioYou have a great desire to spend as much time outdoors as possible this month. Changes in your environment have left you with a need to find your center spiritually which you do through connecting with nature. Though these changes are ultimately to your benefit, you find yourself, surprisingly with a touch of homesickness. Don’t waste your time trying to figure out why you feel this way, just give your mom a call and then move on with your day. Focus on your job and you will be rewarded.
buttonsagittariusThis month the theme is Relationships! Not that this is what you want to focus on. There is plenty of push-pull as your significant other pushes you to accept some responsibility for your end of the bargain. How long can you play hide and seek? If you can’t keep up with the game you may have to formulate a new game plan
buttoncapricornYou are experiencing fundamental changes in your life. Structures you thought of as permanent are subject to sudden change precipitating a change in how you view yourself. Fortunately, you have some good people whose counsel you rely on. Make good use of their advice.
buttonaquariusYour drought in your love life is about to end as Venus in Gemini brings you double the opportunities! When it rains, it pours. Waterbearer. Not that you are exactly thrilled with the fish that land at your door, but you know what they say, “If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.” Have some fun already!
buttonpiscesThe fishes rush in where Angels fear to tread. This makes you the emotional shock troops of the Universe. It also makes you very frazzled, especially after friend after friend calls you with their latest crisis. Give yourself permission to turn off the cell phone. You should take care of yourself first.
