The #Astrology of the #NotreDame Fire

Fire of Notre Dame 4/15/2019

(Astrology Explored)

Paris and the world suffered an inexplicable loss with the destruction of much of the 850-year-old Notre Dame Cathedral. Starting at around 6:50 PM, Paris time, initial reports stated that the fire started on the roof. Four hundred firefighters battled the blaze for nine hours before they extinguished it.

The great Medieval churches weren’t just the sign of the Roman Catholic Church’s wealth, power and might. They had a divine mission.

#AmericanGods: Hallajeuh! And who screws ‘ya?

(Astrology Explored)

Something shifted here in America. It’s been long and slow. I suppose I should have gotten the hint the day 25 years ago when here in my hometown a teenage boy was shot in the back of the head for resisting arrest while face down. Three officers at the scene could not contain one seventeen-year-old and he ended up dead. As the mother of three now adult men who were boys and teens at the time and a woman who supervised literally hundreds of youth newspaper carriers from all parts of this town “nice” and “rough,” the incident was thoroughly unconscionable. Yet, the police involved were cleared by an internal investigation and the mother’s lawsuit seems to have been dropped. Two years after the incident the Middletown Police Chief complained that the lawsuit wasn’t “fair to the officers or the department.”

The kid had a gun. And it was wedged under his body as the police subdued and in the middle of handcuffing him when a police officer shot him.

#Astrology & The #Skeptics: #TheOrville Misfires.

(Astrology Explored) Seth MacFarlane misfires across the bow of astrology in January 24, 2019 episode “All the World’s a Birthday Cake.” Ed Mercer and crew make first contact with a pre-spaceflight society who SETI like, zapped an invitation for any and all to visit. What should have been a party moment turned deadly serious when at a state dinner First Officer Kelly Grayson mentioned that next week was her birthday. You would have thought someone dropped one hundred cobras on the dinner table for the natives’ reaction. Kelly and Bortus (who share the same birthday) are summarily arrested and put in a detention camp, while feckless Ed tries to figure out what caused the native’s reaction.

Come to find out that Kelly and Bortus were born under the “Sign of the Geliac,” an astrological sign that is supposed to be dangerously violent. The society goes so far as to perform medically unnecessary c-section on mothers dangerously close to giving birth to a Geliac child, even if the procedure is dangerous to both mother and child.

President’s Comey Firing: Universe Tells #Trump~You’re Fired

34394903505_5c91168bc1_z(Astrology Explored) Apologies for the technical issues that surrounded the original post of yesterday.

The firing of James Comey came as a huge surprise to the American public. But is it a surprise?
What does the astrology say about the situation?

Moon, Mars, Uranus and Pluto Are Key Players

Astrologically Donald Trump has his Sun in opposition to his moon. Full moon people are often drawn into relationships with others, but may have difficulty navigating then. My opinion is that those with a significant Gemini/Sagittarius axis find it difficult to accept existing norms of behavior. Either they forever lock themselves with the confines of solidly defined roles or they chuck societal norms altogether. Trump appears to have cast himself in the later camp. Also, there is a tendency to see others as merely an extension of self or failing that, not at all. With the US Mars, the planet of trouble, sitting on his Sun/Moon axis it’s a given that trouble follows him in his role as president.

Mars, the planet of trouble (in the yellow section) of the Comey event charis within 10 degrees of Trump’s Sun/Moon axis and the US Mars point. This tells me two things. First, Trump did make the decision to fire Comey before Tuesday. I say he made this decision around May 4th or 5 days before the actual firing when transiting Mars hit the US Uranus. It also indicates that since Mars has not yet reached his Sun, his problems are just beginning. Continue reading

The #Astrology and Politics of the February 10-11 #LunarEclipse

Partial Lunar Eclipse 2014

Partial Lunar Eclipse 2014

(Astrology Explored) A Lunar Eclipse in the early hours of Saturday February 11 follows the Friday February 10, 2017 Full Moon. It’s symbolism should make us all sit up and take notice. In the cosmic dance of the heavenly bodies, a lunar eclipse occurs when the earth is between the moon and the sun, shielding the moon from the light of the sun. The stage for this eclipse sits in the US chart in the ninth house of legal issues.

An eclipse ignites an area of sensitivity a natal chart for at least six months. For the United States this eclipse moon is opposite the US natal moon in Aquarius. But even more pressing the eclipse moon is part of Yod, called the Finger of God, with transiting Chiron, which I call “the planet of something wrong” and Pluto, who most astrologers calls the planet of transformation.
Chiron and Pluto forces their energy up the lines of their respective inconjuncts to the eclipse moon fixing it in place and forcing the chart native to deal with this issue.
Because the energy of the Yod is explosively intense, the events that arise out of the Yod feels destined or fated.

Moon in Aquarius concerns itself with humanitarian issues and the rights of the public at large. This eclipse moon lands in the ninth house of legal issues. So we are going to see a lot of back and forth about the rights of the people. Continue reading

Image stars moving through the sky

Stars move through the night sky

The internet site RT Question More made a spectacular report on January 18, 2016 that five planets would align during the month of January and remain that way through February. They called event called “rare” and a “quirk” in the solar system. They based their report off an Earth Sky report of the same phenomenon. They say:

Stargazers will be able to catch a rare space show this month as five planets are due to align – although they’ll have to wake up early to see it.

According to EarthSky, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter will string across the sky from 20 January for around a month.

It’s the first time in more than a decade that the stellar positioning will be visible with the naked eye from Earth.

Researcher at Swinburne University in Melbourne, Dr Alan Duffy told Australian Geographic that the phenomenon is “essentially a quirk” of the universe as the five planets have different yearly cycles.

They even show a picture they grabbed off of Twitter: Continue reading

Astrology and Skeptics: When An Opinion Is Not A Fact

2921288464_fec22107eb_z (Astrology Explored) It started innocently enough with a person asking an astrologer to read his palm. I declined to do this, but a skeptic weighed in with this response:

My advice is that you do not attach any significance whatsoever to anybody who claim to be able to tell the future by reading palms, the stars, etc. Palmistry and astrology is pseudoscientific nonsense and it has been thoroughly debunked scientifically.

To which I replied:

Please cite the scientific papers that support your claims.

And this is the response I received:

Comment: “The scientific community rejects astrology as having no explanatory power for describing the universe, and consider it a pseudoscience. Scientific testing of astrology has been conducted, and no evidence has been found to support any of the premises or purported effects outlined in astrological traditions. There is no proposed mechanism of action by which the positions and motions of stars and planets could affect people and events on Earth that does not contradict well understood, basic aspects of biology and physics. Those who continue to have faith in astrology have been characterized as doing so “…in spite of the fact that there is no verified scientific basis for their beliefs, and indeed that there is strong evidence to the contrary.”

Kindly see citations at the bottom:

So, of course, I had to respond.

1.) Comment:”The scientific community rejects astrology as having no explanatory power for describing the universe, and consider it a pseudoscience.”

It is not the entire scientific community that rejects astrology, but a specific group that promotes the rejection of anything they consider supernatural. This group us the Humanists who promote atheism. Anything other than a rejection of God or any “supernatural” force is unacceptable to the Humanists. I wrote about here:

Astrology and the Skeptics: Debunkers Tool of a Religious Agenda?

And here:

Atheists, Humanists and Astrology: What You Should Know

2.) Scientific testing of astrology has been conducted, and no evidence has been found to support any of the premises or purported effects outlined in astrological traditions

Again, this assertion that is patently untrue. I wrote about that here:

Astrology and the Skeptics: An Open Letter to Dr. Rebekah Higgitt

3.) There is no proposed mechanism of action by which the positions and motions of stars and planets could affect people and events on Earth that does not contradict well understood, basic aspects of biology and physics.

Then you are behind in your understanding of quantum physics. You can read my article here:

Astrology and Science: Scientific Determinism’s Dangerous Ground

4.) Those who continue to have faith in astrology have been characterized as doing so “…in spite of the fact that there is no verified scientific basis for their beliefs, and indeed that there is strong evidence to the contrary.”

I refer you again to point 2.

5.) Kindly see citations at the bottom:

Lest you think that Wikipedia Editor has presented a true account of astrology, you can read my recounting of the edit war against the people who are best qualified to present astrology—astrologers.

Wikipedia’s War Against Astrology: Jimmy Wales–Are You Listening?

Again, I invite you to provide direct scientific proof that astrology is false, from qualified, unbiased scientists. I’m sincerely interested in that. I’ve been unable to find same, but perhaps you have access to sources that I do not. In the meantime, I submit that you’ve only provided an opinion, which is your right. But opinion is not scientific evidence. Otherwise, we’d still believe the earth is flat.
